National design and construction company Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) has moved into new offices in Newport, South Wales.
The co-located offices, known as Tŷ Awen (which in English means ‘House of Inspiration’), house employees from Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water and the three capital delivery partners (CDPs) tasked with delivering their AMP6 Capital Programmes. The working environment sees MMB sitting side-by-side with the client and fellow CDPs in an ‘Alliance’ arrangement. This supports collaboration and will help us drive best value for the client.
While the total annual value of work delivered by the Alliance collectively will vary in each year of the AMP period, it is anticipated it will be around £500m across the AMP6 period.
As such the agreement is expected to be worth approximately £30million per year in direct revenue to MMB.
MMB Operations Director for the region, Richard Risdon, said, “The new offices provide the Alliance with a great base from which to deliver Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water’s AMP6 Capital Programmes.
“MMB is looking forward to building a strong team with our Alliance partners as we provide Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water with first-class feasibility, design and construction projects across their operating region.”
MMB is partnered with six of the UK’s largest water companies in AMP6. Read more about our AMP6 activity, including further details of our framework with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, by clicking here.
